The company’s overall strategy is to create separate business units, each of which is engaged in a specific geographical and/or sector of business within Africa. These businesses acquire, develop and operate businesses that the company believes will benefit from sustained growth and economic development in the Sub Saharan region. The Angola business unit focuses on the area of acquiring and operating residential, commercial and light industrial real estate. The Namibia business unit focuses on middle class housing in high growth cities and towns across the country.
The Angola business unit is listed on the General Exchange Market of the Irish Stock Exchange and acquires high-end real estate in Angola in the residential, commercial, and light industrial segments. The initial group of acquisitions consists of a set of properties made up of three completed residential properties and a further residential property to be completed in 2016. The Namibia business unit focuses on middle class housing in high growth cities and towns across the country, working in partnership with a local construction company to satisfy, in part, an estimated national housing shortage of 100,000 homes. It also concentrates on land acquisition to serve the growth of these cities and towns.
